Accreditation makes SKF to have a metallurgy and chemistry laboratory recognised by NABL
Bearing manufacturing company SKF India’s Global Metallurgy and Chemistry Laboratory (GMC) located at the Global Technical Centre, Bengaluru has been granted the ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 accreditation by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The accreditation makes SKF India to get its internal testing laboratory accredited, setting new benchmarks in International Laboratory Quality Management System.
NABL has been established with the objective to provide government, industry associations and industry in general with a scheme for third-party assessment of the quality and technical competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
Arun Shivaram, Director, Global Technical Centre, India said, “SKF has always been at the forefront of knowledge and development and GTC in India is the conduit through which we bring global knowledge in India. It is a proud moment for all of us as this level of recognition has put our GMC laboratory on the global map. It is a reflection of our belief in offering ‘World Class World Wide’ services and opens doors for us in the international market.”
