Hanna Instruments has announced the release of edge, the world’s first pH meter that uses pH electrodes with Bluetooth Smart technology. The HI2202 edge pH meter uses Hanna’s HALO pH electrodes with Bluetooth Smart technology (Bluetooth 4.0) that connects wirelessly to edge or a compatible iPad running the Hanna Lab App.
The edge is thin and lightweight, measuring just 0.5” in thickness and weighing less than 9 ounces. edge has a 5.5” LCD with an incredibly wide viewing angle and a sensitive capacitive touch keypad. The versatile design of edge makes it equally at home in your hand, on a lab bench, or mounted on a wall. Edge is simple to configure, calibrate, measure, log, and transfer data to a computer or a USB drive. The edge includes Hanna’s exclusive CAL Check feature to warn if the HALO pH electrode being used is not clean or if the calibration buffers are contaminated. A probe condition indicator is displayed after calibration showing the overall state of the pH electrode.
