CommScope adds enterprise solutions production to Goa facility

To meet the growing demand for network infrastructure solutions in the Asia-Pacific region, CommScope unveiled expanded production capabilities at its Goa facility to include high-performance SYSTIMAX cabling.Opened in 1998, the 25,800-square-metre facility currently manufactures antenna and transmission cable products for CommScope’s wireless business under the Andrew brand. It also includes an integrated warehouse, distribution and customer support centre. The facility now will produce for the first time CommScope’s SYSTIMAX copper cabling, panels and patch cords for its enterprise customers in India. The company also plans to begin manufacturing in Goa its Uniprise cabling.Goa is a prominent location in CommScope’s global manufacturing and distribution network, and its strong manufacturing team and operational excellence are expected to provide benefits for business enterprise customers in India and throughout the region.“Manufacturing locally offers a higher service level to the India market, and therefore can benefit customers through quicker availability and reduced logistics costs,” said David Gilmore, Vice President, Global Enterprise Operations, CommScope.Another feature included in the expansion is a briefing centre that contains a demonstration area, meeting space and educational vignettes featuring CommScope solutions.
