NORD Drivesystems awarded for its sustainability

NORD has been awarded a silver EcoVadis accreditation, indicating its commitment to sustainability.
NORD earns a silver EcoVadis accreditation. The rating agency EcoVadis rated NORD again this year. The driving expert earned 68 out of 100 points and received the silver sustainability certificate. The firm progressed from prior years and is now substantially above the industry average.
“In the combined assessment, we rank among the top four percent of the manufacturer group assessed by EcoVadis”, explains Jörg Niermann, Head of Marketing at NORD. “This positive development is also a result of our sustainability strategy.” In the Environment category, Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG from Bargteheide reached the top one percent; in the Sustainable procurement division, they ranked among the best 11 percent of the assessed companies.Jörg Niermann said, “Our aim is to harmonise economic efficiency and sustainability.” . “Based on our company policy, we act with integrity and responsibility for the environment—locally and globally.“ Since 2021, NORD has been reporting its sustainability activities according to the German Sustainability Code (DNK). NORD is currently establishing a sustainability network within the 10 largest subsidiaries. From 2025 on, there will be an international sustainability report that will contain the key figures of all subsidiaries. In the fields of quality and environment, the company works according to certified ISO management standards. The company has also signed the UN Global Compact and follows the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
