By March 1, 2023 6:38 pm IST

Our unwavering commitment is to provide our customers with the highest quality products, achieved through cutting-edge manufacturing facilities and an unyielding pursuit of excellence in design and production capabilities.
The manufacturing outlook is optimistic in the country
My outlook for manufacturing in India in 2023 is optimistic. The country’s Make In India initiative, notably the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) program for large-scale electronics manufacturing, is set to significantly improve domestic manufacturing and attract investments across different sectors, positioning India as a global leader in the industry.
Additionally, India’s recent Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with Australia, the UK, and other Asian countries have strengthened the manufacturing outlook further. According to industry reports, growth is expected to be between 12-15 percent in 2023, with potential for further growth as manufacturing shifts from China to other countries like Malaysia and Indonesia, where India can have a substantial market share.

At Jindal Lifestyle, we constantly strive to innovate, evolve, and stay ahead of the industry. In line with this vision, we will explore new manufacturing technologies that can enhance our production capabilities and enable us to create even more innovative products. This includes adopting advanced fabrication methods such as laser, plasma, and water jet cutting to produce complex shapes with precision and efficiency. Additionally, we will incorporate smart manufacturing technologies such as IoT and automation to improve production processes and increase efficiency.
Backward integration for manufacturing of stainless steel

Make-in-India initiative to propel manufacturing sector growth in India
The Make-in-India initiative launched by the Indian government in 2014 is expected to drive rapid expansion of the country’s manufacturing sector. The campaign aims to transform India into a global manufacturing hub by encouraging businesses to manufacture their products domestically. Due to this initiative, many companies have already established manufacturing units in India, and more are expected to follow. This is likely to result in increased employment and economic growth.
One sector that has benefited significantly from the Make-in-India initiative is the steel industry. The government’s focus on infrastructure development, such as the construction of roads, bridges, airports, and metros, has created a surge in demand for steel. It is also encouraging that the government is promoting the use of domestically produced steel in government projects. The friendly business climate fostered by the government and the increased demand for domestic products will likely lead to better economic growth, employment opportunities, and investment.

Country’s manufacturing capabilities being recognised on the global stage
There has been a significant shift in the global manufacturing landscape in recent years, with India emerging as a major player. Previously, the country relied heavily on imports from Western and Far-East Asian countries for various applications. However, introducing new manufacturing capabilities and initiatives, such as the “Make in India” campaign, has radically changed this scenario.
As a result, many companies are either setting up their manufacturing units in India or partnering with local manufacturers to offer technical support. This has led to the development of customised solutions that cater to the specific needs of the Indian market, addressing domestic demand and creating ample opportunities for exports. India’s manufacturing capabilities are gaining recognition globally, and the country is rapidly becoming a preferred destination for manufacturing and exports.
New approaches for factory operations
At Jindal Lifestyle, we constantly seek new and innovative ways to optimise our factory operations. Time-motion studies and Lean Management principles demonstrate our strong focus on enhancing efficiency and productivity. In addition, we have integrated Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into our operations to streamline processes and increase output.
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment incorporates cutting-edge technologies such as laser cutting machines, cold roll forming processes, shearing and bending machines, laser welding machines, robotic welding machines, and many more. We are dedicated to staying ahead of the curve in technology and operations. We constantly explore new methods to enhance and optimise our factory operations for better efficiency and productivity.
