Your views on Indian manufacturing in 2022.
After the slowdown during the pandemic period, we are expecting a positive market growth and we hope to continue with this momentum in the upcoming financial year as well. However, to cope up with the various variables in the dynamic market, we have also adapted ourselves to resonate on that. The market feedback reveals that customer requirements are now becoming more specific, accuracy based and of course on innovative components. We completely empathise with the customer sentiments in terms of their expansion and innovative ideas and are ready to take part in this growth trajectory as a one stop solution provider.
What are the upcoming technology trends in metal forming/ metal cutting?
In the ongoing scenario, fast, flexible customised tooling, easy access to tool data through cloud technology and automation are some of the technologies which are driving the present cutting tool development processes.Few upcoming trends to mention in this context are:
- Digitalization
- Industry 4.0
- Offline and in-process solutions
Instant technical support to field with our LiveTechPro: Immediate and competent visual support to deliver technical assistance in case of machining issues or simply to help optimise processes in spite of being at remote location from the application.
New automation trends making the machine tools industry more user-friendly for the future.
Some of the major automations trends which are making buzz in the industry are as below:
Automated and IoT ready machines: As industries are adapting to digital technologies, more machines are being built for automation and Industrial Internet of things (IIOT). Smart machine tools with robotics will likely be used for situations where the work is hazardous for human beings to perform.
Artificial intelligence (AI): As machines and machine tools are becoming automated hence programs should be written and executed in real time to manage those machines. That is where AI comes into picture.
CNC software advancements: Advancement in computer aided manufacturing software has allowed even further precision in manufacturing. By using CAM software, we can run digital simulations of the manufacturing process before a part is physically manufactured.
Inclusion of smart features and networks: Machine tools of the future are smarter, and which are easily networked and less prone to error.
We are having TOOLSCOPE, which is a combination of IoT and industry 4.0. Toolscope offers a platform to generate a learning curve on the machine based on its historic data and helps achieve an efficient performance from the tool as well as from the machine from the upcoming applications based on tool life/wear monitoring, adaptive parameter control etc. Thus, it optimises tool life, productivity, safety of working that too without much human intervention.
