Collaboration to design high-tech training facilities and programs in smart manufacturing

NAMTECH and Schneider Electric collaborate to design and deliver short- and long-term academic programs, starting with a Professional Master’s Program in Smart Manufacturing and a Professional Technologist Program in Automation. NAMTECH will start operating in an interim campus at IIT Gandhinagar from August 2023.
Schneider Electric and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), a collaboration between ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a cutting-edge smart campus in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The project is dedicated to the New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTECH), an educational initiative by Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India. The objective is to provide a comprehensive and advanced model of engineering and technical education, focusing on manufacturing and sustainability. NAMTECH will initially operate from an interim campus located at the Research Park of IIT Gandhinagar, starting from August 2023.
Deepak Sharma, Zone President-Greater India, MD & CEO, Schneider Electric India, said,“The MoU ims to transform the Smart Manufacturing and Sustainable Energy segment through professional training of young minds. NAMTECH and Schneider Electric will collaborate to design and deliver short- and long-term academic programs, starting with a Professional Master’s Program in Smart Manufacturing and a Professional Technologist Program in Automation. They will also work in tandem on the design and delivery of a smart campus and several technical labs at the campus in Ahmedabad.
