Two lasers cutting blanks for the Smart Press Shop

Porsche’s brand-new and fully-connected press shop, currently under construction as part of a joint venture with Schuler Group in East German Halle (Saale), will employ a state-of-the-art laser blanking line made by Schuler. The order for the high-end technology, placed by Smart Press Shop GmbH and Co. KG, will be filled at the Schuler Site in Heßdorf where production is expected to start shortly. The Laser Blanking Line 2.18 is equipped with two cutting heads for processing strip material with a width of up to 1,880 mm.
