Tembo Global Industries strengthens leadership with key director additions

Tembo Global Industries has named Firdose Vandrevala as a non-executive director. He is a former chairman of Motorola, Hirco Developments, and Essar Steel with substantial industry experience.

Tembo Global Industries Ltd., a leading manufacturer and fabricator of metal products for industrial, commercial, utility, and OEM installations, is reporting the appointment of Firdose Vandrevala as a non-executive director to its board of directors. Tembo Global Industries Ltd., which is listed on the National Stock Exchange, remains committed to quality and corporate governance with this major addition to its leadership team.

Firdose Vandrevala brings decades of experience and leadership vision from a number of sectors. He began his career with Tata Steel in 1972 and ascended through the ranks to become Deputy Managing Director of Tata Steel and Managing Director of Tata Power during a 33-year period. He has since held other prominent positions, including Chairman of Motorola (India), Chairman and Managing Director of Hirco Developments Ltd, and Executive Vice Chairman of Essar Steel. His extensive background in steel, power, real estate, and telecommunications qualifies him as an expert in people management, corporate strategy, leadership, marketing, project management, and operations.

Vandrevala is deeply committed to giving back to society, particularly via education. He serves on the boards of major colleges such as IIM Raipur and IIM Lucknow, where he helps to develop future leaders. He is also a managing trustee at the Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School in Mumbai, proving his dedication to teaching future generations. Vandrevala is an active member of industry associations, having previously served as Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) East and West, a member of the CII’s National Governing Council, and President of the All India Management Association.
