Schuler to install the battery cells in an average electric car

Schuler is going to order for battery cell housing production line to supply turnkey line to US site of South Korean manufacturer LT Precision.
The output rate of the production line of Schuler has now sold to South Korean manufacturer LT Precision. The quantity corresponds to about half the battery cells installed in an average electric car. The scope of supply includes a cupping system and a total of seven post-processing presses including the corresponding dies, which are built by the company’s subsidiary Aweba.
Production is scheduled to start on the line in 2024. The battery cell housings will be used in the electric cars of various manufacturers. Schuler’s products include automation, dies, process know-how and service for the entire metalworking industry. Schuler’s Digital Suite brings together solutions for networking forming technology and is continuously being developed to further improve line productivity and availability.
