Rockwell propels India toward sustainable manufacturing goals at the IIOTM event

Rockwell Automation hosted its fifth India On The Move (IIOTM) event in Chennai, which drew 1,200 delegates. The program focused on sustainable, secure, and smart manufacturing, India’s high-tech manufacturing leadership, the circular economy, and the role of automation in enhancing industrial organisation productivity.
Rockwell Automation, the world’s biggest corporation committed to industrial automation and digital transformation, wrapped up the fifth edition of its India On The Move (IIOTM) event in Chennai. Manufacturing leaders, technologists, innovators, and policymakers gathered at the event to discuss how to keep India on track to meet its sustainable manufacturing and net zero goals, as well as highlight the manufacturing sector’s potential to contribute trillions of dollars to India’s GDP.
This year’s IIOTM drew over 1,200 attendees and featured over 30 key discussions on the emergence of sustainable, secure, and smart manufacturing, India’s potential leadership in high-tech manufacturing, the circular economy, and the role of automation and digitalization in increasing industrial organisation productivity and efficiency.
The event featured compelling keynote talks and interactive demos, allowing guests to get insights from politicians, topic experts, industry leaders, and Rockwell Automation’s partner ecosystem and customers. The expo area was buzzing with activity, showcasing cutting-edge innovations, exhibitions, new goods, and exciting interactive demos.
S. Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, said: “India today is the fastest growing major economy in the world and is steadfast to soon become the third largest economy. Manufacturing success will be crucial to India’s march towards this economic progress. In this regard, India wants to substantially increase the manufacturing sector’s contribution to GDP from 17 to 25 percent.
