IPLAS 2024 to attract thousands of businesses at the Chennai Plastics Expo

The Tamil Nadu Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAPMA) is holding the sixth edition of the International Plastics Exhibition, IPLAS, from June 14-17, 2024 at Chennai Trade Centre.
The exhibition, organised by TAPMA, is projected to attract over 40,000 businesses to its 300+ stalls. The Tamil Nadu Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAPMA), the state’s apex body representing over 8500 plastics processors, is holding IPLAS, an International Plastics Exhibition, from June 14 to 17, 2024 at Chennai Trade Centre.
This is the sixth edition of the series since 2005, and the features include a 17500-square-meter exhibition area. 300+ exhibitors from around India, including a few from China. There are around 90 live demonstrations during the event. The extensive display portfolio includes machinery, materials, moulds and dies, printing and converting machinery, and auxiliaries. This expo will benefit expansions or new start-ups in the plastics industry. Visitors will receive fresh project ideas and locate everything under one roof.
Over 40,000 people are anticipated to attend and profit from this worldwide event. Visitors will travel from nearby states as well as other regions of India. TAPMA provides hospitality to international guests from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Kenya. As with past editions, this edition will promote industry growth while also creating jobs for young people in the next years. This expo is anticipated to witness procurement of new machinery to the tune of Rs. 1000 crores, which would create vibrancy and new employment as well.TAPMA is also organising WOPS – world of plastics, a theme pavilion to create a fresh awareness about plastics, its contributions and the ways of disposing it post use. This theme pavilion will promote segregation at source and also recycling of plastics waste. There will be an interactive Virtual Reality Videos and games for the school children. On display will be a wide range of long-lasting furniture made from post-consumer comingled waste picked up municipal waste. Invitation is being extended to school / college students, resident associations and officials of corporation and other local bodies engaged in solid waste management.
