Hyundai Tucson is certified with continental tires for global performance

Hyundai Motor Group has granted Continental three certifications for its SUV, the Tucson. The SUV is available globally with EcoContact 6 or PremiumContact 6 tires, and the CrossContact LX Sport for use on mild off-road trails in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Hyundai Motor Group depends on Continental’s original equipment expertise for the Tucson. The South Korean automaker has granted Continental three certifications for its SUV. The Tucson is available globally from the manufacturer with either energy-saving EcoContact 6 or comfort-optimized PremiumContact 6 tyres. Hyundai has also authorised the CrossContact LX Sport for use on mild off-road trails in Asia-Pacific.

Save energy on the road with the EcoContact 6. The EcoContact 6’s unique rubber compound minimises energy absorption when driving, as well as friction and rolling resistance. This implies that automobiles with combustion engines will consume less energy, while electric vehicles will have longer ranges. In addition to reduced braking distances, the premium tyre provides dependable grip on dry and wet roads and excellent turning stability even at high speeds. The optimised tread shape also lowers the tire’s rolling noise.

For the Asia-Pacific region, Hyundai also offers the Tucson with the premium CrossContact LX Sport tire in size 18-inch. This offers short braking distances on dry and wet roads and effective drive both on and off the road. The CrossContaxt LX Sport also has a reinforced side wall that protects against damage, for example by stone chips.
