On November 9, 2022, Seco Tools and selected partners will host the hybrid live event, Automotive & General Engineering ITI. Machining demonstration sessions as well as expert presentations will introduce the latest solutions for automotive manufacturing and general engineering. Hosted physically in the new Innovation Hub in Erkrath near Düsseldorf, Germany, the German Auto ITI program will be streamed live online. In addition, an English stream will be available sharing highlights and interviews from the live German event.
First ITI event focusing on automotive and general engineering
As part of the successful Inspiration Through Innovation (ITI) event series, launched in the United Kingdom in 2014, this is the first ITI focusing on manufacturing of automotive components. Past events have demonstrated the value of collaboration in the pursuit of innovation in the medical and aerospace sectors. This new addition to the ITI series will be hosted from the Seco Tools Innovation Hub in Erkrath: The new center for developments and innovations enables tests of machining processes for non-standard solutions. These are accomplished in close collaboration with customers and manufacturing partners.
Collaboration for innovative solutionsSeco Tools will host the Automotive & General Engineering ITI in cooperation with selected partners such as machine tool manufacturers, suppliers and companies from the fields of coolant technology, CAD/CAM programming, measuring technology, additive manufacturing and related service providers. Together, they will illustrate the outstanding benefits of international, collaborative partnerships in the development of innovative machining solutions.
Exclusive insights into machining
In half-hour contributions, Seco Tools and the respective partners involved will present the machining of components, for example a turbo charger, as well as machining strategies such as power skiving and gearing. Inspiring seminars will provide further valuable learning about coolant technologies and electrification. In addition, participants will have numerous opportunities for networking at the physical event. The event will be opened by Stefan Steenstrup, President and CEO of Seco Tools AB.
