Gruner Renewable Energy appoints Ajmal Singh Kathat as executive vice president

Gruner Renewable Energy has appointed Ajmal Singh Kathat as its new Executive Vice President. With over 36 years of experience in security, intelligence, and resource management. 

Gruner Renewable Energy, India’s leading energy conglomerate, has appointed Ajmal Singh Kathat as its new Executive Vice President. Bringing over 36 years of experience in security, intelligence, and resource management to the company, thereby reinforcing its commitment to security and operational excellence in the renewable energy sector. 

Ajmal began his career in 1984 after clearing the UPSC examination for the Central Police Organisation, joining the Border Security Force (BSF) as an Assistant Commandant and advancing to the rank of Inspector General. Throughout his tenure with the BSF, Ajmal demonstrated exceptional leadership, directing operations along India’s strategic borders with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar. Ajmal received prestigious recognitions, including the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Services in 2011 and the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2018. He was appointed BSF in-charge in Kashmir during the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35(A).

Ajmal transitioned into consultancy roles, contributing his expertise to ATZ SS Corps Limited under the Jal Jeevan Mission and serving as a consultant with AYE Cart Fintech Pvt. Ltd. and as a legal advisor with Nimisha Fin Company (NBFC).
