GHG, the new biomass briquette facility, highlights EKI’s commitment to promote the manufacturing of products that considerably cut greenhouse gas emissions via its Nashik-based subsidiary.
Duction Technologies, a subsidiary of EKI Energy Services, imposed the inauguration of its state-of-the-art biomass briquettes (biocoal) manufacturing plant in Dindori, Nashik, Maharashtra. The inauguration ceremony highlighted a critical step forward in GHG Reduction Technology’s continuous commitment to clean energy transitions and global warming mitigation.
The new biomass briquette facility highlights EKI’s commitment to promote the manufacturing of products that considerably cut greenhouse gas emissions via its Nashik-based subsidiary. By introducing biomass briquettes as a cleaner and more sustainable alternative to traditional coal, the company aims to contribute to environmental conservation and promote eco-friendly energy solutions.
Biomass briquettes created from agricultural wastes such as sugarcane trash, maize cob, soya husk, tamarind, and pomegranate waste replace coal in boilers and furnaces. This not only minimises reliance on conventional coal but also plays a crucial role in reducing biomass burning in farm fields, thereby abating local environmental pollution.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including Manish Dabkara, EKI’s Chairman and Managing Director, Pankaj Pandey, Chief Operating Officer, and Samrat Sengupta, Vice President, Business Development, among others.“We are proud to inaugurate our new Biomass Briquettes manufacturing plant in Dindori, Nashik, furthering our commitment to clean energy transitions and environmental sustainability. With a state-of-the-art facility and a dedicated team, we are poised to revolutionize the biofuel industry and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for generations to come,” said Manish Dabkara, Chairman and Managing Director, EKI Energy Services Ltd.
With an initial production capacity of 800 metric tonnes per month, which can be increased to 1200 metric tonnes per month, the new briquettes plant is set to transform the biofuel business. This bio briquettes factory is the first of many that GHG Reduction Technologies intends to build in the future as part of its expansion strategy to provide cleaner, more sustainable energy alternatives.
EKI’s objective is to lead the shift to greener and more environmentally conscious energy sources, leveraging its knowledge and resources to foster innovation and sustainability in the bioenergy industry.
