Biesse 2024 pioneers multi-material solutions with cutting-edge technology

Biesse India showcased its successful export of 10,000 machines to 75 countries and panel discussion on mechanisation in furniture manufacturing, while also launching the Bangalore chapter of the Association of Furniture Manufacturers & Traders.
Biesse, a global leader in integrated lines and machines for wood, glass, stone, plastic, and composite materials, held its Inside Biesse 2024 event from August 8–10, 2024, at the Biesse Bengaluru Showroom. The event attracted numerous visitors, offering industry professionals, woodworking enthusiasts, and furniture manufacturers an opportunity to explore Biesse’s latest technologies and machinery.
The first day of an event was attended by NARSI Group’s Managing Director, Narsi D. Kularia, and Director Jagdish Kularia. The event began with an inaugural lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Souma Director-Sales & Business Development Biesse and an inaugural speech by Kularia. A Bharatanatyam dance performance was also featured.

Ray’s speech was followed by a presentation highlighting a significant milestone achieved by Biesse India this year: the successful export of 10,000 machines to over 75 countries worldwide.

Chintan Parekh, Joint Secretary of AFMT, served as the keynote speaker, providing expert insights during the session ‘Awareness Session on Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).’
Gopal Dwivedi from LIVSPACE delivered an insightful session titled ‘Multi-Materiality: Trends and Innovations in Modern Materials.’ Rahul Mehta from FFSC shared his expert opinion on ‘Why the Power of Collaboration is Essential to Harnessing the Power of Skills.’ Additionally, a panel discussion was conducted on ‘Mechanisation in Furniture Manufacturing and Challenges in the Furniture Industry’, which was moderated by Dhanesh Bhatia, Member (AFMT), and presided over by eminent industry leaders and panellists like Jagdish Kularia (NARSI Group), Dhiren Gopal (Featherlite), Mr. Huzefa Samplewala (AFMT), Rahul Mehta (FFSC), and Souma Ray (Biesse India).On the second day, Uday N., Scientist-G, IPIRTI, presented on ‘Trends and Perspectives of Wood-Based Panels in India,’ and Nishant Verma, IKEA India, presented on ‘Sustainability, Innovation, and Shaping the Future of the Furniture Industry in India’, while Dr. Jimmy Thomas from Canadian Wood delivered an insightful presentation on ‘Applications and Future of Solid Wood’ on the final day. Attendees participated in panel discussions, observed live machine demonstrations, and took guided tours of Biesse’s world-class factory.
Inside Biesse 2024 showcased Biesse’s commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence in machine manufacturing, catering not only to the woodworking sector but also to various industries through its multi-material solutions. A highlight of the event was the launch of Biesse’s latest edge banding solutions, the ‘Akron 1300’ and ‘Akron 1400’, proudly ‘Made in India’ for both domestic and global markets. These machines, integrated with advanced automation features, received great appreciation from the attendees.
Biesse’s Rover-J CNC machine was a significant attraction in the Indian Parliament building, showcasing the fusion of traditional Indian artistry with modern manufacturing techniques, showcasing intricate carvings on fire doors and furniture items.
