Smart factories will increase quality of production

By OEM Update Editorial June 9, 2022 6:50 pm

Industry 5.0 comes with not only autonomus robots but it also contains collaborative robots which is one of the great add-on.

While interacting with OEM Update, Shailendra Ahuja, Director, Infotonics Media Pvt. Ltd., says, Industry 5.0 or IIoT are instrumental for the booming revolution to build smart factories.

Which latest trends and innovation are impacting the automation industry?

Industry 5.0 has all features that are actually needed by the industry. Industry 4.0 is 100 percent robotic which creates a huge issues related to skilled manpower. And, Industry 5.0 comes with not only autonomous robots but it also contains collaborative robots which is one of the great add-on and also these features comes with mobility robots. Nowadays they all are linked with cloud services which enables easy accessibility towards every single data AQAP (as quick as possible).

What are your products and solutions?

We innovated solution according to startups and SMEs with low investments along with big SME’s. For low funded businesses who are not able to afford Robots; for these kind of companies, we have customised AI/ML based ERP solution and with the help of these you will get 95 percent accuracy. There is possibility that within 1 or 2 years, we can start getting 99 percent accuracy. And for big SME’s we are well versed with Industry 4.0 and 5.0.

For Small funded companies we have Industry 3.0 with AI/ ML (Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning) tool to give them similar power, like big funded companies, but it cost them time to get the maximum accuracy.

If AI/ML based products are good enough then why people will opt for Industry 5.0 or Autonomous?

There is no comparison with industry 5.0 and AI/ML dependent solution as if one is using Industry 5.0, it consists of human and robots, whereas AI/ML based solutions may be covering robots or may be not or may be partial robots usage. And AI/ML tool need huge data collection first, then they move towards accuracy. It involves time where big companies can not wait.

How do you perceive manufacturing with Industry 4.0/ 5.0 to optimize production in present times of digital adoption?

Any business might incur losses when their product quality or product quantity is hampered. And these two mishappening occur only when we have no exact track of issues in production i.e. the issue is with manpower, or with the machine or machine maintenance; or with supply chain or bad warehouse management, or maybe you can say with vendors, or in the transportation etc. Huge factors sums up to losses. This new era of digitisation give you the power to find the right problem in your process in right time. Then it becomes easy for you to improvise and stabilise your production, quality and supply chain.

How are the smart factories evolving with AR and autonomous robotics implementation? Industry 5.0 or IIoT are instrumental for the booming revolution to build smart factories which will increase production and quality of production. But this has not happened in reality. Machines without human or without a skilled human can hardly produce good products. The transformation is still evolving, however, industry have improvised a lot where we would be having a smart working factory, where Human interaction is also important. But with the help of AR and autonomous we have error free production in less time which will generate good business for all.

What growth expansion plans does the company have with respect to automation?

We are now focusing on Bangladesh Market to cater to textile industry with Industry 3.0 to Industry 5.0 solutions. We are in the process of looking for partners from Bangladesh to be a part of our success story in Bangladesh.
