The BD series by Autonics consists of laser displacement sensors that can measure the thickness, width, level difference, disparity, curve, and evenness of target objects by detecting the amount of displacement. The sensors offer accurate and stable measurements with minimal target colour or material influence. The sensor head and amplifier unit are detachable for easier maintenance, and up to 8 sensor amplifier units can be interconnected with a mutual interference prevention function.
The sensor system offers comprehensive features, including reference distance options in the range of 30/65/100/300/600 mm. Its detachable sensor head and amplifier unit ensure easy maintenance while achieving a maximum resolution of 1㎛ (resolution may vary by model). The system delivers accurate measurements with minimal target colour or material influence. It allows the interconnection of up to 8 sensor amplifier units with mutual interference prevention function and auto channel sorting. Various calculation functions such as addition, subtraction, and averaging are supported, along with diverse filter functions, including movement average, differential, and median, for stable measurement. Auto sensitivity adjustment through 1-point or 2-point teaching enhances adaptability, while the dedicated software ‘displacement’ aids in efficient data processing.
