WIDMA introduces IoT-enabled machining solutions at PMTX 2024

Kennametal India Limited’s WIDMA Machining Solutions Group showcased its latest machining solutions at the Pune Machine Tool Expo 2024 (PMTX 2024). The company showcased its MacHX800 horizontal machining centre, an IoT 4.0-enabled machine for big component machining.
WIDMA® Machining Solutions Group of Kennametal India Limited, a leading manufacturer of metal cutting CNC machines, showcased a range of cutting-edge machining solutions at the Pune Machine Tool Expo (PMTX) 2024, including a newly introduced next-generation horizontal machining centre, MacHX800, and a blank profile grinding solution, BPG 15.
PMTX, held from May 25 to 28 at the Pune International Exhibition & Convention Centre in Moshi, Pune, is one of the region’s premier machine tool and manufacturing technology events. The event is organised by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA).

On 25 May, Dadasaheb Gore, COO, Ultra Corpotech Private Limited, an engineering & energy solutions major and esteemed customer, inaugurated the WIDMA booth no. C-107 at the show.
WIDMA showcased its new MacHX800™ Horizontal Machining Centre (HMC) at PMTX. This next-generation HMC is intended for big component machining in sectors such as commercial vehicles, construction and agricultural equipment, aerospace, and general engineering. It is IoT 4.0 enabled and provides the stiffness, productivity, precision, and adaptability necessary to process a wide range of materials under the most demanding situations.BPG-15 Blank Profile Grinding Machine. Dedicated to the production of cutting tool blanks (dia. 3 to 32 mm) in a single configuration. This machine expands the Tool & Cutter Grinding Machines offering, allowing customers to select from a wide choice of options.
The VT850 Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) was introduced in 2023 for manufacturers wanting precision and best-in-class productivity. This 2-axis, typical ‘plug-and-play’ VTL is intended for cutting big components that need significant metal removal. Users can combine many operations without compromising quality.
