The H2Eco Award promotes and recognizes innovations in the field of hydrogen technology. Every year, it honors projects that make a significant contribution to the energy transition and climate protection. The award is an important part of HANNOVER MESSE, the world’s leading trade fair for industry, and reflects the industry’s commitment to a sustainable future. The prize money of €5,000 will be donated to a project that makes a relevant energy industry contribution to the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy.
For over two decades, the German Hydrogen Association (DWV) has been at the forefront of efforts to achieve a sustainable transformation of the energy supply by promoting a green hydrogen market economy.
This year’s finalists demonstrate the broad spectrum and innovative potential of hydrogen technology (listed in alphabetical order):
Hylane GmbH – With its unique business model, Hylane exemplifies the practical applicability and marketability of hydrogen-powered fuel cell trucks.Turneo GmbH – Green hydrogen production and maritime application in Cuxhaven – This project illustrates the innovative combination of local, green hydrogen production and its application in the maritime industry, a significant step for sustainability in shipping and logistics.
