Lubrizol Pune center accelerate the Indian chemical destiny

The facility seeks to expedite regional expansion, boost product innovation, and support customer success, adding to Lubrizol’s $150 million USD investment plan for Indian growth in 2023.
Lubrizol, a global leader in chemicals, has established a new Global Capability Center (GCC) as a strategic hub to accelerate regional growth and enable closer collaboration for its customers and employees. The Lubrizol GCC is part of a new facility in Pune called Embassy Tech Zone Hinjewadi. The campus is WELL- and LEED Gold certified, ensuring a safe, healthy, and ecologically responsible workplace. In addition to a well-designed and ergonomic workstation, the 42,000-square-foot facility has wellness rooms, a recreational area, a training area, and huddle rooms with ample natural light. A customer experience center demonstrates Lubrizol science. Over the following year, the location is projected to add more than 200 regional personnel representing functions such as engineering, supply chain, technology, finance, procurement, legal, and human resources.
Lubrizol has a long history in India, dating back to 1966, when it began producing chemical additives for the transportation and industrial sectors. Since then, Lubrizol has improved the quality of life for people in India and the surrounding regions by developing creative solutions that promote mobility, well-being, and modern living. The company currently employs a workforce across India through several in-region commercial offices, labs, and manufacturing sites.
Lubrizol revealed a more than $150 million USD investment in 2023 to build the world’s largest CPVC resin facility in Vilayat, Gujarat, double capacity at its Dahej site, construct a grease lab in Navi Mumbai, and drive significant in-country job development and innovation.
