BPCL and IONAGE unite to supercharge EV charging infrastructure

Maharatna PSU Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has partnered with Bangalore-based eMobility service provider IONAGE to improve electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in India.
Maharatna PSU Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has extended its partnership with Bangalore-based eMobility service provider IONAGE to improve the accessibility and convenience of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across India. IONAGE aggregates charging stations from various Charge Point Operators, simplifying the process for EV owners.
The partnership aims to support India’s goal of widespread EV adoption by 2030. BPCL’s chargers will be integrated into IONAGE’s platform, which aims to incorporate over 100,000 chargers by 2028.
Senior officials, including BPCL’s CGM (Marketing) S. Kannan and IONAGE’s CEO Vimal Kumar, signed an agreement to improve EV infrastructure in line with national efforts towards clean energy and sustainable transportation.The collaboration between BPCL and IONAGE intends to fill India’s infrastructure shortfall in public EV charging stations, complementing government regulations and consumer demand. The extension of BPCL’s network and IONAGE’s technology-driven platform will help to make EV charging more accessible and efficient, improving India’s energy landscape.
