Testo India unveils emission and flue gas analysers

Testo India introduced the Emission Analyser —testo 340—and the Flue Gas Analyser —testo 350, both of which meet German standards.
Emission Analyser – testo 340
The testo 340 Emission Analyzer is a single solution for many applications. It can handle everything from burner tuning and optimising combustion in boilers and furnaces to diesel engine exhaust analysis and NOx monitoring in gas turbines. It also measures flue gas in incinerators and emissions in gas engines.
It is a powerful instrument with a relatively smaller footprint. It is equipped with a maximum of 4 gas sensors, and one can select gases based on one’s needs and applications. You can choose O2, CO, NO, NO2, SO2, No low and CO low.
A wide range of modular probes can be fitted, varying lengths of 335 to 700 mm. Users can opt for the heavy-duty industrial probe, where lengths of up to 3 meters are possible. These probes are made of different materials depending on the stack temperatures. Inconel is used for temperatures up to 1200 deg C, and Aluminium Oxide is used for temperatures up to 1800 deg C.
A heavy-duty pump provides a constant flow within a stack gas pressure ranging from -200 to +50 mbar for sample extraction. If the gas concentration exceeds the range, the built-in dilution feature will extend the range of all sensors by up to 5 times. A built-in condensate trap prevents moisture from entering the sensors, and the instrument warns if the condensate trap is full and needs to be emptied.
Parameters like efficiency, air ratio, and flue gas loss are calculated and displayed. The analyser comes with a powerful internal diagnostic feature. One can know the sensor status, last calibration done, pump flow, battery level and life, serial number, instrument version, etc., at the press of a button. A user-friendly “easy emission” software helps with analysing and generating reports in graphical and tabulated formats.
For NOx measurement, real NOx can be measured using two sensors for NO and NOx, or NO2 can be calculated from NO, and then NOx is derived. The device has a comprehensive memory that can store 200 logs per site, with up to 10 sites per folder and 100 folders.
Flue Gas Analyser – testo 350
Flue Gas Analyser – testo 350 is carefully designed and crafted, considering the user’s needs. This instrument is matchless in performance and engineered to perfection.
With the testo 350, up to 6 gases can be analysed simultaneously – the user can choose between the following sensors: O2, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, SO2, HC, and H2S. The sensors are easily replaceable by the user in the field within minutes without even using any tools. The analyser has features that calculate standard parameters such as flue gas loss, excess air ratio, and boiler efficiency. By connecting additional probes, it measures velocity, differential pressure, and temperature. Its user-friendly on-site calibration program ensures zero downtime. Testo 350 is the ideal solution for Flue Gas Analysis.
The testo 350 can be equipped with a wide range of sampling probes. Special hoses of up to 5 meters in length are also available for the most accurate NO2/SO2 measurements.
The analyser has a built-in Peltier-cooled gas preparation unit with a peristaltic hose pump for automatic condensate removal, avoiding condensation, and highly accurate measuring results. Higher concentrations are no problem due to an optional dilution system that extends the measurement range sensors.
