Graphite Panel Series by Red Lion receives PESO Certification in India

PESO certification identifies Graphite® devices as ideal industrial automation solutions for use in hazardous environments.

Red Lion®, a global industrial technology manufacturer that helps organizations access, connect, and visualize their data, received Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) certification for its Graphite® HMI operator panel series, including its extension racks. PESO certification identifies Graphite® devices as ideal industrial automation solutions for use in hazardous environments, such as oil and gas installations, water and wastewater facilities, and mining areas.

As an agency of the Government of India within the Department for the Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, PESO (formerly the Department of Explosives)  oversees and regulates the safety of hazardous substances throughout the country, including explosives, compressed gases and petroleum. PESO’s primary responsibility is to administer India’s Explosives Act, 1884, and Petroleum Act, 1934, and the rules thereunder with the motto “Safety First.”
