The Metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show (MWCS) 2019 was a resounding success. Held from 17 to 21 September at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, MWCS, East Asia’s leading trade show for the sheet metal industry, provided a comprehensive overview of all the latest trends and technologies in sheet metal working, metal forming and machine tools. The show occupied some 80,000 square meters (861,000 sq. ft.) of exhibition space and featured over 600 exhibiting companies from China and around the world. MWCS was co-located with the Industrial Automation Show (IAS) 2019. Organised jointly by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., the two events were staged as part of the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) and between them attracted a total of 193,788 trade visitors.
“We are in the midst of a new era of industrial development and intelligent transformation – an era in which existing industry and business models are being completely redefined,” commented Andreas Luttmann, Global Director Metal Processing at Deutsche Messe. “That spells major opportunities for global industry. MWCS is attuned to this key market trend and this year further strengthened its position as China’s leading trade platform for new products and product innovations in industrial sheet metal working.”
MWCS 2019 featured cutting-edge technologies in equipment manufacturing, its wealth of high-quality products ranging from smart and fully flexible sheet metal production lines to sophisticated precision measuring instruments, to digitally managed production and assembly chains for automatic transmissions. For more details, visit:
