CLOOS instant robot programming system

Quick and easy welding of single parts – particularly in steel and metal construction, the programming expenditure for automated welding of small batch sizes is often disproportionally high. With the IRPS automated welding of work pieces in batch size 1 pays off now. The operator freely positions the tacked work piece on the robot working station. Then he starts scanning at the IRPS screen. The scanner mounted at a linear track scans the working surface of the robot system and saves the result. The IRPS converts the saved scanner data into a 3D model. Then the IRPS sends the completely generated robot program including all welding data to the robot controller. The operator starts welding via a button at the IRPS screen. Individual changes and parameter adaptations can be made easily and intuitively.
It is not necessary that the operator has a detailed welding and robot knowledge. Due to the complete programming automation, users benefit from an efficient and flexible welding production.
CLOOS MoTion Control Weld-Reduced heat with reversing wire drive
MoTion Control Weld is a controlled short arc with reversing wire drive unit. It is a combination of a classic Control Weld process in the short arc range and a mechanical system which draws the wire back and forward at a high frequency. Thus short circuits can be interrupted cleaner and with less energy than in the case of short arcs without reversible wire electrode. Due to the low heat input into the work piece and the minimised spatter formation at high welding speeds the stable process is particularly suitable for thin plate applications.
Tandem Weld can be universally applied either for thin or for thick plate welding. In the Tandem Weld process, two arcs burn in a common molten pool. The process is based on two electrically separated processes which match each other perfectly. This possibility opens up a multitude of combinations. The front wire ensures a safe penetration; the back wire quickly fills big joints with filler material. The high deposition rate can result in weld speed or in volume filling. Therefore, Tandem weld is suitable for thin and for thick plates. With Tandem Weld you reduce your welding times due to the high deposition rate. You reduce the component distortion and avoid extensive reworks thanks to the low heat input. You compensate material tolerances due to the good gap bridging ability. You benefit from the wide range of applications as Tandem Weld can be used for many materials and thicknesses. Do you wish to maximise the efficiency of your weld production? Then rely on Tandem Weld by CLOOS!
Central Data Management with CLOOS C-Gate (Industry 4.0)
The new Gateway C-Gate of Carl Cloos Schweisstechnik GmbH allows the demand-oriented management of welding and robot data. The new system consists of the near-system hardware and the software modules production, quality management and service. With this module, users can illustrate the performance and the efficiency of their robot systems, localise shortages and increase the efficiency. The module allows a comprehensive online monitoring of the robot systems with a detailed reporting about availability, capacity and quality. Thus, possible weak points in the production run are recognised early. Furthermore, system breakdowns or waiting times due to set-up and other downtimes are considerably reduced.
