Gurgaon labour trouble affects supplies to auto majors

Recent labour unrest in factories of auto component makers at Gurgaon is affecting vehicle manufacturers. The strikes by workers at Rico Industries, Sunbeam and other smaller companies at Gurgaon and Manesar had an impact on supplies to auto majors like Hero Honda and Maruti Suzuki India.
 
“The frequent labour issues in the Gurgaon and Manesar belt is a matter of concern. The ongoing problems at some of our suppliers’ plants have affected our operations,” said a Hero Honda spokesperson.
