How has Surface Mount Technology impacted manufacturing efficiency?
In the past, most manufacturing processes relied heavily on manual operations. Over the years, we gradually adopted advanced machine-based systems. We have significantly increased efficiency by incorporating high-speed automation, particularly with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing. This shift has resulted in a tenfold increase in output speed, along with higher levels of accuracy and efficiency. Automation has also revived the use of human resources, making the system more responsive in addressing production needs.
What are the challenges while implementing AI and IoT in production processes?
We have developed several IoT-enabled products, including an energy meter and production counter facility. We installed it in our production line to monitor power consumption and production counts. This system has been working satisfactorily for the past few months and has proven to be a valuable tool for monitoring power parameters.
Despite the growing popularity of AI, we have yet to find suitable tools that can be effectively utilised in our environment. Implementing AI and IoT includes the challenge of integrating these technologies into existing systems, ensuring data security, and managing the costs associated with deployment and maintenance.
What are the applications of EAPL products, and which industries utilise them?EAPL products are designed for universal application across various industries. Our offerings include electronic timers, programmable annunciators, energy meters, time switches, counters, protection relays, and temperature controllers. These products are used in electrical control panels, cement plants, pharmaceutical industries, power plants, and process plants. We provide features and configurable products based on industrial needs, addressing challenges like efficiency, accuracy, and customisation.

We are also focusing on incorporating IoT-enabled features to meet future demands.
