Sustainable development in the metal and mining industry took centre stage at a technical seminar organised by Wilo. The event focused on advancing eco-friendly pumping solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact in metal and mining operations.

The seminar, held at Ranchi brought together industry leaders Mecon and Central Engineering & Trading (CET) along with professionals from across the country to discuss technological advancements and sustainable practices in metal and mining operations.

Mecon, a leading engineering and consultancy firm, shared insights on technological advancements and operational best practices in metal and mining consultancy, while CET highlighted its expertise in delivering end-to-end solutions for metal and mining projects. Their inputs set the stage for detailed discussions on addressing challenges and improving efficiency in metal and mining operations.

Building on these insights, Alin Mazumder, Associate Vice President & Regional Head (East) at Wilo India, spoke about innovations in metal and mining design and engineering, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This was followed by Milind Karve, Head of Product Management, and Raghunath Kumatkar, Engineering Consultant at Wilo India, who discussed operational challenges and shared real-world solutions. Chandrashekhar Thakurdesai, Associate Vice President and Head (Industry) at Wilo India, concluded the presentations with a session on sustainable practices and future trends aimed at reducing environmental impact.

The seminar featured interactive sessions where participants engaged with speakers, asked questions, and shared experiences. Networking opportunities were also provided, encouraging industry professionals to connect and explore potential collaborations.

The company said the seminar reinforced the importance of sustainable practices and technological advancements in the metal and mining industry, aiming to drive progress and promote eco-friendly operations.
