Seon Seob Kim, appointed as MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd

Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country’s second largest car manufacturer and number one exporter since inception announced the top level management changes with immediate effect. Seon Seob Kim will assume the responsibilities of ‘MD & CEO’ from Young Key Koo who is set to return to Hyundai Motor Company Head Quarters, Seoul after 3 years in India.
Y K Koo completed 3 years’ successful tenure to lead Indian operations and under his able visionary thought leadership, Hyundai Motor India has achieved many new milestones.
Out of his 35 years of professional career with Hyundai Motor Company, Y K Koo had been the part of the Senior Management for long 12 Years in India with a strong understanding and orientation of Indian Auto Industry. In his first stint from 1997-2001, Hyundai established itself as a household name with the launch of 1st generation ‘SANTRO’ and ‘ACCENT’ while he strengthened the sales and marketing operations during his second tenure from 2008-2011 and again headed the Indian operations in his 3rd tenure from November 2015 to November 2018.
