CEAMA successfully concluded workshop on opportunities & challenges in ESDM

CEAMA and Department of Electronics and IT, Government of India, conducted a session on “Opportunities & Challenges in Electronic System Design & Manufacturing in Maharashtra”. This power-packed session began with Anirudh V. Dhoot, President, CEAMA and Director, Videocon felicitating the chief guest, Chhagan Bhujbal, Minister of Public Works and Tourism, Government of Maharashtra.
The Government of India has identified growth of electronics hardware manufacturing sector as a thrust area. The Union Cabinet has notified Electronic Policy, a special incentive package to promote large-scale manufacturing in the Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. The government provides financial support for the development of Electronic Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs). These EMCs would aid the growth of the Electronic Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector, help development of entrepreneurial ecosystem, drive innovation and catalyze the economic growth of the region by increasing employment opportunities and tax revenues.
