Schneider Electric opens an innovation campus in Bengaluru

Schneider Electric has opened one of its largest employee campuses in India’s Silicon Valley, Bagmane Solarium City. The 630,000 square feet campus includes a Global Innovation Hub, Training Centre, R&D Centre, Skill Centre, and Digital Hub, housing over 8,000 people.

Schneider Electric, a worldwide leader in energy management and nextGen automation, opened one of its largest employee campuses in Bagmane Solarium City, Bengaluru, commonly known as India’s Silicon Valley. The campus is approximately 630,000 square feet and includes a Global Innovation Hub, Training Centre, R&D Centre, Skill Centre, and Digital Hub. It can house over 8000 people.

This new campus underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to becoming a preferred employer by offering world-class infrastructure for workers to collaborate, develop, and deliver industry-leading solutions to clients. It also reaffirms the company’s commitment to “Make in India for India and the World,” highlighting continued investments in manufacturing, innovation, people, R&D, and skill development.

Underlining Schneider Electric focus on accelerating its investments in India, Peter Herweck, Chief Executive Officer, Schneider Electric, said, “I am delighted to open one of our largest employee campuses worldwide in India. The Innovation Hub at Bagmane offers an immersive experience that integrates all Schneider Electric offerings to showcase a comprehensive journey, transforming sustainability ambitions into tangible actions at the intersection of automation, electrification, and digitization. The Schneider Electric Bagmane Bengaluru Campus upholds its commitment to sustainability by prioritising off-site green electricity, energy-efficient chiller systems, and 100% greywater reuse via a sewage treatment facility. The site has already submitted for LEED Gold certification, proving Schneider Electric’s dedication to global environmental standards. Furthermore, the Schneider Electric interior fit-out works are aiming for LEED – Platinum certification, highlighting the company’s continuous commitment to excellence in sustainable construction standards.
