For instance, VEGA level sensors are employed in landfill operations to measure the level in a stripping column used for landfills. Within this process, microorganisms decompose nitrogen and carbon compounds, aided by special carrier materials packed in the reactor’s central section. Accurate level measurement at the column’s base is crucial to maintain optimal operating conditions.

Similarly, the oil and petrochemical industry relies on VEGA sensors for various level measurement applications. These include hydraulic oil reservoir tanks, trip tanks, flare knockout drums, and level and pressure measurements in oil separators. VEGA provides sensors approved by IECEx and ATEX, making them suitable for hazardous areas such as Zone 1 and Zone 2 and explosive atmospheres, which are essential requirements in the oil and gas industry.

For instance, the radar chip integrated into VEGA’s newest radar level sensor, the VEGAPULS 6X, is developed in-house. An important aspect of VEGAPULS 6X’s safety features is its self-diagnosis system.
