UTC Fire & Security inaugurates fire suppression systems factory in Bangalore [September 9, 2011]

UTC Fire & Security India Ltd. announced the opening of a new Bangalore-based world-class fire suppression systems factory. The facility was officially inaugurated by UTC Fire & Security President Scott Buckhout and the Minister of Public Works for the state of Karnataka Mr. C.M. Udasi in the presence of company executives, local dignitaries and key customers. UTC Fire & Security is a global leader in fire safety and electronic security solutions and is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
“This factory represents yet another major step towards expanding our presence in India and is a key milestone in our expansion plans for the fire suppression business globally, enabling us to bring the most effective and advanced fire safety solutions to customers,” said Buckhout. “We believe we have the right mix of products to meet India’s needs as the fire and security industry continues to grow, and we are committed to supporting the Indian government’s efforts to develop the regulations needed to protect people and assets throughout the country.”
