Magnet-Schultz Rotary Solenoids for variety of applications
By OEM Update Editorial March 20, 2023 6:16 pm IST
The DC rotary solenoid GDA converts the linear magnetic force to a rotary movement.
You need a quick rotary movement of maximum 110 degrees? A conventional solution with an engine, gearbox, and limit switch seems too elaborate to you?
Magnet-Schultz rotary solenoids are your solution. We provide you with ON/OFF and proportional rotary solenoids as well as versions with or without return spring. The application areas: Optical devices, medical devices, packaging machines, food technology, and apparatus construction.
Long-life rotary solenoid-type GDA
The DC rotary solenoid GDA converts the linear magnetic force to a rotary movement. The axial component of the magnetic force is supported via the installed armature bearing of the solenoid.
During the rotary movement, no linear movement is performed.
ON/OFF rotary solenoids turn the drive shaft in the end position, when supply voltage is applied. Due to the increasing torque characteristic, no control of magnetic force or rotation angle is possible.
Sizes (Ø): 25 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm, 75 mm
Rotation angles: 95°, 65°, 35°
Torque: 0.16 Ncm – 195 Ncm
- Clockwise and anti-clockwise versions through shaft protruding on both sides
- With and without return spring Electrical connection via free flexible lead ends
- Fastening via tapped holes at the end faces
- Protection class: IP20
- Voltage type: direct current, DC
Proportional rotary solenoid-type GDR
Unlike the ON/OFF rotary solenoids GDA, the proportional rotary solenoid GDR works to an electrodynamic operating principle, featuring proportional relation between torque and current as well as a constant torque over the entire operating range. Therefore, by using an appropriate control and a rotation angle sensor, it is possible to realise force and position-controlled actuators.
Sizes (Ø): 35 mm, 50 mm, 75 mm
Rotation angle: 110°
Torque: 2.1 Ncm – 85 Ncm
- Reversal of the direction of rotation by reversing the polarity of the supply voltage
- Electrical connection via free flexible lead ends
- Fastening via tapped holes at the end faces
- Versions with attached rotation angle sensor to the measuring principle hall sensor
- Protection class: IP20
- Voltage type: direct current, DC
- Option: versions with programmable hall sensor, flange option of a return spring
