Taps production investment in Ankleshwar

Dormer Pramet is placing high importance on its round tools assortment to support its overall growth ambitions in India and around the world.

Dormer Pramet has increased manufacturing capacity of its M3 – M12 taps assortment at the company’s Ankleshwar production unit (PU). The project included a significant investment in the facility, demonstrating Dormer Pramet’s confidence in the Ankleshwar PU, which became part of the company following the Miranda Tools acquisition in 2020. Dormer Pramet is placing high importance on its round tools assortment to support its overall growth ambitions in India and around the world.

To increase taps production capacity, Dormer Pramet installed a series of new technology, including thread, flute and chamfer grinding machines, as well as training employees. Also, this was the first-time robot-technology had been installed in Ankleshwar.

The improved machine equipment has not only grown productivity in Ankleshwar, but also offered a significant increase in the quality of taps produced, helping to bring it in line with global standards. Recent tests have shown big improvements in terms of the taps’ consistency and performance. Further investments and activities are planned in the coming months to further support the development of the Ankleshwar production unit and the company’s growth in India.
